    Lets complete the system description. I vote for a Garrard 301 turntable with a Ortofon SPU cartridge. Tonearm could be a vintage Ortofon or SME one.

    @guiller my vote is EMT. Sure there’s Tannoy but the original owner of the system in the book is a Japanse painter who spent time in Wien. But there’s a reference to two turntables in the book so we can have both....!
