SOLD - I've realized something about myself.....I'm not into vinyl. I thought I was, I wanted to be and it seemed to be at the very heart of the audio hobby. I've become more and more involved with with digital audio and want to upgrade. I love the convenience and also want to expand my network.
I invested reasonably into a higher end turntable, cartridges, etc. and want to offer a package here for sale. I purchased this wonderful SOTA just under a year ago. It shipped directly from SOTA on 5/19/16 in two really awesomely sturdy cartons.
The equipment is pristine with the exception of a small crease in the mat made by a dropped LP. It does not affect, in any way, the interface of vinyl and mat. Without this small crease in the mat, I would rate this table a 9/10 Excellent. I have ALL of the original shipping cartons, manuals and the SOTA packaging is some of the best I have ever seen. So here goes.....
SOTA Satellite in Walnut finish with upgraded Jelco SA-750D tonearm in Bronze finish, beautiful. Retail is $2,500
SOTA acrylic dustcover
Upgraded SOTA Composite Armboard
Denon cartridge is NOT included
The arm, arm board, platter and sub-platter are all hung on four visco elastic sleeves attached to the sub-chassis. Even a sharp rap on my rack does not get through to the tonearm and motor assembly. I live in a fourth floor apartment and have never heard a single footfall get through.
I have owned both a ProJect Expression and a Rega RP-3. The SOTA Satellite is a significant step up IMO.
The Jelco SA-750D is a superb tonearm with a detachable headshell which allows easy cartridge mounting PLUS the ability to swap cartridges easily. A silicone damped tonearm option lets users mount higher compliance carts. The Jelco also comes with two counterweights, one heavier to offset the weight of heavier cartridges like a Denon DL-103.
I'm asking $1450, PayPal fees included, shipping to CONUS covered by me. Reasonable offers entertained.
As an FYI, the SOTA Satellite can be upgraded three steps in their line if you desire. Jewel, Sapphire and Nova models are the next three up in the line and include fully sprung suspension and up to vacuum hold down. The Satellite uses a visco-elastic suspension which is superb. The spring suspensions take it to the next level. SOTA will also use new or refurbished parts for your upgrade as well. Really great company to deal with just outside of Chicago.
This Satellite package is a wonderful starting point.
Reasonable offers entertained. Thanks so much for looking.
