FS HIFIMAN & GRADO Headphones

For Sale
I decided to keep the Sennheisers and let go of a couple of favorites. I'm a headphone junkie, or at least I used to be. I decided to diversify my headphone collection rather than having one expensive pair, but I've really slowed down my usage and find myself grabbing the Sennheiser HD600's most often. These two pairs are among the best values in the game, in my opinion, and I believe these two models represent the house sound of each brand perfectly without spending a fortune.

MODELS:

In the case of the Grados, I prefer The 225e's to any model in the Prestige series, including the newer X models. They capture the forwardness of Grado that is desirable, but with a bit more politeness than the 325's. I'm on the fence about selling these because I think these are the best rock and roll headphones on the market. More money does not mean better rock and roll. Grado is taking the Prestige series down a path that is getting away from the thing we all loved about them.

The HIFIMAN Sundaras need no introduction. It seems like people hunting for a high fidelity set of cans for under a grand settle on these pretty often. They're really easy to listen to and full of detail, with a great, wide soundstage. As a drummer, I really appreciate the separation of the instruments. I used these for critical listening most often.

CONDITION:

The HIFIMAN headphones are in excellent shape with two different sets of cables (the original and a longer aftermarket). The pads show wear (pleather flaking) only in places around the perimeter, close to the metal casing, away from your head. This is from age, as I've not used them that much and this type of wear is not from head friction, but likely repeated flexing. New pads would make these good-as-new, but I'd probably run with them for a while. I have the original box for these.

The Grados are not as clean, but they're functionally excellent and not beat up. I am the second owner and they've worked like a charm for me. They have fresh pads. No box or accessories.

Photos coming soon.
$200 each. I'll cover shipping and fees.
