Songs for today, 4/20...who's joining in?

maybe AI generated? not sure that 911 would run an interrogation like that.
I remember when this happened.

Also the one tine I had pot butter somebody made a huge piece of bread coated in it to use for a group. This was a work going away party for me, I thought they made it for me, so I ate the whole thing. Oops. It was a weird party.

ummmmm...
At least it wasn't me. But I did get busted by my folks with booze a couple of times. Especially that time my mother brought home some 94% alcohol from the liquor store in Quebec, to make liqueurs at home. It mixed up really well with whatever pop we had in the house. 😁

Heck, third grade, a few of the kids were already smoking... 😐

Budder! 👍

A pal of mine on another forum had a great story. They were having a company party, and he volunteered to bake the brownies...both kinds (leaded and unleaded). He had cards up by each but however, later on in the evening, the cards had fallen off the table. Welllll....one of his coworkers, a 20-something girl, had some brownies. A bit later she started telling everyone she felt weird. My buddy asks, "Which brownies did you eat?" Yep. And she'd never had weed before.

He said it took her most of a week for the "funny" to wear off... 😁

I got into the growing side of the game 4 years ago and it's been a ton of work and fun in equal measure. I am a 5mg low dose kinda guy and I don't inhale too much these days. I make my own avocado oil infusion that can be used in many recipes , or by the teaspoon (tablespoon for the high tolerance guys and gals).

Kinda silly now when you think of the 100 years of prohibition this plant endured. It's not heroin and its not booze, that's for sure.

Has anyone else noticed how it changes our auditory senses? I seem to lose some high frequency hearing once i am high which makes having tone controls handy.
Wow, I've often said that the most cost efficient audio upgrade is weed. I'm way more focused and engaged in the music after taking a puff and settling in for an album or two.

I've never felt like I lost anything with it, only gained.

I could have used a gummy yesterday as the night before, I fell asleep in the Device of Torture (the recliner) and have had one of my back spasms ever since. But I had a lot of driving to do throughout the day, so I just yelped through it. 😁

I feel like any appreciation I have for hardcore, punk, metal, high BPM dance music, etc. goes right out the window when I’m high. For me, hard-edged music is a buzzkill.
I never understood House music, even remotely, until somebody gave me a few squares of, um, mushroom chocolate before visiting a dance club a few years ago. I just kind of got in a groove and stayed there for hours, very happy.

Worst thing for me under any kind of influence--I want it louder....louder...louder. Only my sober self tells me it'll only make my tinnitus worse. Plus, I don't trust myself around a turntable.

I still think my buddy didn't understand when, after we'd had several beers each*, that I had an unstoppable urge to play air guitar to The Cramps, flat on my back, on the floor... 🤣 (In a sense, recreating the back cover photo were Bryan Gregory is doing the same on The Cramps Gravest Hits.)

(*Late teens, back when it was maybe not quite legal to drink until we turned 21. Today I can't even sand the smell of beer. Jeez. I wonder why! Spending a few mornings screaming at some deity named Ralph in front of the porcelain altar tends to do that to a person... 😇)

This, of course, is because I'm a hipster and like hipster things.
If it weren't for that briefcase... 🤣

Funny as it sounds, I used to use beer for making a fried chicken recipe. Made a wonderful, puffy batter. But since we've had to eliminate fried foods here (except air fryer), I haven't had reason to buy it in a long time.

It just bugs me to look at photos of beer though...it looks so refreshing! But then that PTBD kicks in and....

Friends who are big users (80-100 mg a day) have told me that if you use gummies, use them with butter.
A 10mg gummy is on the “high” side of what I can take…..sorry, I had to use “high” in context. I also didn’t realize there were so many stoners here. I also can’t imagine 80-100mg/day but Cheech and Chong springs to mind.

I have a condition called idiopathic peripheral neuropathy, “feet-on-fire for no apparent reason”. When all the other prescription drugs are not helping, a pot gummy does the trick. In fact, my pain medicine doctor prescribed them. Much lower taxes on my purchases.

hmmmm… I was diagnosed with Benign Fasciculation Syndrome by a neurologist when all the other possibilities for the reason why I have continuous muscle twitches in my feet and legs were eliminated. When it first started, my feet often felt like they were on fire. It rarely gets that bad anymore but it’s been close to a decade of tingling feet. I’m so used to it now that I don’t even notice it unless I’m think about it.

I'm still trying to convince my better half to try some. She went around for a couple of months with her gall bladder constantly in a dull pain. (Or as her surgeon said yesterday, she was hiding the pain really well. She also has higher pain tolerance due to the genetics of being a ginger.) Now with that nasty gall bladder removed (it was very large and inflamed), she's on oxycodone for another 48 hours--she has nine pills left. Once they're gone, I'm thinking she'll have a lot less pain to cover up. But if not, I'm going to see if she'll finally at least try one. I keep saying I'd rather have her on something natural that the native Americans used for thousands of years, vs. addictive pharmaceuticals.

I wish the feds would completely deschedule it, rather than reschedule it as they're planning to do now. And I also wish there were more doctors who would prescribe it for pain.

Dang, that's unfortunate. It's like my tinnitus. It's not bad until I pay attention to it. I've had it for a decade or more by now. It's probably our brain's way of tuning out chronic issues like ours.

Pain doctors who prescribe cannabis can be hard to find, for sure. My doc told me there were so many regulations, etc., it was was difficult to manage. I respect him for going out his way to provide for patients. He pushed me several times to try it and finally I gave in and it worked. Maybe micro-dosing, like 2.5mg, would ease her concerns initially. I’ve found 5mg is therapeutic,

My wife had her gall bladder removed as well. It contributed to pancreatitis which was REALLY bad. At the time cannabis was not legal so she had to rely on opioid pain relief. I can be tough to come off them. Slowly was the key for her.

It didn't get that severe, but it was quite inflamed nonetheless. They only prescribed ten of the oxycotin. Thing is, she doesn't think they are working all that well--if anything they just make her sleepy. The muscle relaxers seem to be doing much more good at this point.

Given the variability of the gummies, I'd probably start with 5mg.
